Rachel Ford was born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia and was homeschooled her whole life. Despite the two of us being homeschooled we somehow never crossed each other’s paths and didn’t end up meeting until after I had graduated. Growing up Rachel was always a bit of a tomboy and loved to play softball with her family. If you are ever interested in looking at an ideal example of a black eye her Facebook has a pretty good one from softball. If you have ever spent ten minutes with Rachel you will quickly learn that she loves cats and the beach. One of these I was ok with but if you know me at all you know that I was a serious anti-cat person. As much as it pains me to say she does have a pretty awesome cat, but in my defense it’s the most dog like cat I have ever met. Another passion Rachel has is her love for painting. She loves to take random nick-knacks, mostly beachy, and put her own creative spin on them by re-painting them. One of the things that I love most about Rachel is her compassion and passion for people and in particular the less fortunate. All throughout her childhood she helped at her church's soup kitchen, feeding the homeless. Something else that she has always loved doing in her church is singing in the choir. Rachel has a beautiful voice and at the wedding we might be lucky enough to hear it ;). She has also been in many plays with her church where she has made me very proud to be her significant other. She over the last few years has accomplished so much by going out and acquiring her pharmacy technician certification and now works for a local pharmacy. She is still searching for that specific calling God has given her, but I know it will be doing something amazing. Rachel is the love of my life and I prayed many years for the Lord to give me a woman of God like her. She has such a servant’s heart and spoils me to death with that heart. I am so excited to be married to this girl that makes my world spin and looking forward to falling more and more in love with her over the years to come.
