I met Morgan back in high school youth group when he was the Hollywood star of the most ridiculous promotional videos in youth group history. We didn’t hang out too much then because we argue now that the other one was too cool for us, I was in a band and he made Lighthouse Production videos. After getting over how “cool” the other one was we realized how much we both loved rock concerts and making movies and the rest was bromance history. If you see Morgan at the wedding be sure to say “Oh Hi Hello There” and talk about how “amazing” Arizona or Qdobas is and you will be his best friend. I have never met someone so proud of a homeland that’s not even his home state (born in Texas) but it all makes sense because he has that “Don’t Mess with Arizona” mind set.

Mark FitzGibbons

(Brother/Groomsman)

Mark is my brother and there are plenty of stories I could tell about as we had one of the most fun childhoods I could ever ask for. From playing Power Rangers with the neighborhood kids to building airplanes in the living room out of chairs we sure knew how to use our imaginations. Mark is currently studying to get his Associates and is about to graduate and move on to his Bachelor’s degree in either Criminal Justice or Law. Now based on the childhood and adulthood I have had with my brother I’m definitely voting for the lawyer career. I’ve often said he has spent a good amount of time practicing to be a lawyer through all the arguments we have had. But seriously he has been a great little brother that I’m proud of and glad that we will have an expert of law in the family.

Ryan Mekkes

(Groomsman)

Ryan and I have known each other almost from birth as our families have the perfect combo of siblings for us all to have a best friend. We really became good friends as Ryan taught me how to play guitar and we played in a band for 2 years. It was a fair trade off as he taught me how to play guitar and I opened his eyes to rock music beyond Lynyrd Skynyrd and Third Day. Although I am very proud of opening his musical horizons I think my biggest achievement is turning him into a hardcore Miami Dolphins fan. I took him from liking New England just because of there colors and that they are “Patriots” into one of the biggest Tom Brady haters. He is currently studying Administration of Justice and hopes to one day work for I.C.E. breaking girls out of sex trafficking.

Deron is one of my oldest friends and us two have been through a ton together. We met through a church AWANA group where Deron was the kid who made fun of kids like me that memorized 30 bible verses a week. Not really but it was definitely safe to say that Deron and I as best friends was an odd pairing. Never the less we have had a brother like friendship over the last 10 years. He was my crazy best friend that I could go out and do outrageous things with like sledding in a grave yard or building an eight foot snow man as grown men. If you run into him at the wedding make sure to congratulate him about being a new proud father of his baby girl Adelaide given to him by his awesome fiancé Marissa.

Mike is quite a man not sure I can come close to describing him in this small paragraph but I’ll do my best. I met him through my church youth group where we bonded over making one of the Lighthouse Production videos with Morgan and that was the start of the three amigos. We became concert–aholics, seeing Switchfoot (the best band ever) anywhere within a 300-mile radius. We were the best air band in rock history (Mike on Vocals, Me on Guitar, Rachel on Drums, and Morgan on Bass). If you have never met him and get a chance to chat with Mike you will quickly learn he is pretty in love with… “himself”. The good news is he also has enough love for his awesome finance, Jenelle, and his two cute kids, Lucy and Liam. He is currently a cop for the Lynchburg police but entertains the thoughts of about 10 other careers so without further ado, ladies and gentlemen now presenting “MY COOL CAMBULL”.

Tim and I went to the same church throughout high school but never really connected, as he was a grade ahead of me. We finally started bonding over Ultimate Frisbee as we fought weekly on Sundays. Tim was what we called one of the Frisbee god’s, him being dubbed Thor and Dan Inman being Zeus. The way he threw hammer throws and zipped from sideline to sideline was worthy of his superhero/god name. I’d like to think I’ve learned enough from them to get demi-god status but I’ll leave that up to players on the field. We also recently have become great frenemies through our fantasy football league where he is often accused of “collusion” but that just comes with the territory of being a Steelers fan. He is currently working at a local hospital as does his wonderful wife Lydia, he aspires to be a physical therapist. someday.
